5. If you had the responsibility to decide where $1 million should be spent to improve conditions somewhere in the world, what project(s) would you choose? Why?
If i had the money i would pt all of it into m hometown of Tijuana to stop violence and raise security. When i was little i never heard of violence but now tijuana is seen as one of Mexico's most dangerous city and the kills me to see what my hometown has become. I want Tijuana to be like it used to, i remember tourist were not afraid to roam the streets at night. However the cartels have put an end to that with their constant drug wars and as well as the corruption of the police force over there. 1 million dollars I'm afraid will only eliminate a small fraction of the problem however whatever i can do is good. Now what used to be tourist attraction are now avoided and the streets that we once filled with people are now empty. 1 million dollars will not be nearly enough to repair all the damage the cartels have made in my city. The cartel scare people and then people avoid tijuana and this puts people in the streets who own businesses that rely on tourist attractions. My tijuana is not the same as before but with work it could be what it was many years ago; filled with culture instead of
This. Guess you can say this is typical nowadays.
